Brian Dose

I am running for LaSalle County Board Chairman and have lived in LaSalle County my entire life, having attended Lostant and L-P High Schools. I have a Bachelor’s from SIU and have worked in public safety as a firefighter/paramedic for over 25 years, rising to the rank of Captain. I have served in Union leadership and have been a Union member for over 21 years.

I am happily married to my wife Ami, a nurse practitioner, and am raising three children in Ottawa. Having served on the Lasalle County Board for over 11 years, I have worked tirelessly to support working families and make a difference in the County. My experience as Finance Chairman has brought valuable experience with government accountability and proven solutions to working families. I also serve on the Court Appointed Special Advocates Board to oversee and act as a liaison for the County.

I am running because I do not like the partisan path we are on. This campaign is not about my opponent as much as it is about us. We need leadership that will advocate for economic development. We need leadership that will advocate for property rights. We need leadership that is concerned about our rural area and creating jobs so that our kids can someday live in our area. We need leadership that is concerned about public safety in our communities. We have a workforce housing crisis in our county. And instead of addressing issues that affect us, we are mired in toothless resolutions and partisan national warfare issues. This cannot be us. I want to provide a new direction and positive path moving forward.
