About Brian

I am running for LaSalle County Board Chairman. I have lived in LaSalle County my entire life, having attended Lostant and L-P High Schools. I have a Bachelor’s from SIU and have worked in public safety as a firefighter/paramedic for over 25 years, rising to the rank of Captain. I have served in Union leadership and have been a Union member for over 21 years.

I am happily married to my wife Ami, a nurse practitioner, and am raising three children in Ottawa. Having served on the Lasalle County Board for over 11 years, I have worked tirelessly to support working families and make a difference in the County. My experience as Finance Chairman has brought valuable experience with government accountability and proven solutions to working families.

Vision for LaSalle County

My vision for the County is simple. Protect and embrace our values and traditions of the past, feel safe in the present, and help build a strong resilient LaSalle County for the future. To do so, we must rebuild relationships and increase mutual understanding. Because, working in a bipartisan fashion is how you achieve results, and my work on ARPA funding is the most recent example.
